Anal Beads - A set of small balls on a string, usually made from silicone or semi-rigid plastic. Anal beads come in multiple sizes and can enhance orgasms if pulled out at the moment of climax.
BDSM - A four letter abbreviation for all sorts of kink. It encompasses B&D (bondage and discipline), d/s (dominance/submission) and S&M (sadism and masochism) whether causal or formal.
Butterfly Vibrator - A vibrator designed for clitoral use. Specifically, it's a small vibrator that comes with an attached harness and resembles the eponymous insect. Charge it up, strap it on and float away.
Buttplug - Any small dildo primarily used for anal penetration. Buttplugs are generally meant to be left in for extended periods of time and have flanged bases to make removal easier.
Bullet Vibrator - A small vibrator designed to be used internally. Also known as an egg vibrator.
Cockring - A cockring is usually made of leather or hard rubber, and goes around the base of the penis to increase sexual stamina. A cockring can go around the penis and testicles, or just the penis. If you choose to put the cockring around the testicles, make sure you can remove it.
Crop - A toy used in impact play consisting of a long, flexible shaft and a relatively small striking surface (often made of leather). Creates more of a sting than a thud.
Cyberskin® - A synthetic material that simulates the feel of human skin. Cyberskin is used mostly to make dildos and vibrators. Cyberskin is a registered trademark of TopCo. Cyberskin does not contain and never has contained phthalates.
Dildo - Any sex toy that is generally penis-shaped and is designed for you to insert into yourself. Dildos can be made out of jelly rubber, silicone, glass, acrylic or more exotic materials.
Flogger - A toy used in impact play, generally made of rubber or leather. A flogger consists of a sturdy handle and many long strands. Despite its appearance, a flogger generally provides a blunt impact rather than a sting.
Impact Play - Any form of sex play where pain is inflicted by striking, often as foreplay. Impact play covers everything from a light spanking to the cat o' nine tails.
Inflatable Woman - Also known as a blow-up doll, inflatable women now have multiple inputs and more lifelike sculpting.
